Aspire's First Taste of Summer: Ben-A-Fit 6 is a celebration of the successes and personal growth of individuals with a developmental disability participating in Aspire's programs. The event was founded by Marc Adelman and his son Ben who has participated in Aspire programs for many years. Despite having Cerebral Palsy, Ben set out to achieve three goals in his life – to live in the community, to work in the emergency medical field and to volunteer for the fire department. With Aspire’s help, Ben has achieved all three goals!

When Karen started with Aspire a year and a half ago, she had a plan - she wanted to move into a more independent living arrangement and work in her community. Karen not only has accomplished both of these goals, she's advocated for herself and her peers, helping others get jobs as well.
