BRIDGET

Ten years ago, Bridget was shy, introverted, and had trouble keeping her emotions in check. Her dream was to work in food manufacturing so she was excited to be one of the first employees hired when Aspire CoffeeWorks opened in 2009. Her job was to label and fill the bags of coffee. She was great at it. And our roasting partner, Metropolis Coffee, noticed.

Metropolis Coffee hired Bridget on full-time to label their coffee bags. And over the last decade, amazing things have happened! Bridget came out of her shell and blossomed into a people person who loves to chat! She’s learned how to manage her emotions and she’s volunteered to take on more responsibility at work, adjusting the way the labels are printed so that the company can be more efficient. The best part is that her job has allowed Bridget the financial independence to move into her own apartment. The down side, she says, is “[she has] to pay bills”. We hear you, Bridget!

For Bridget, the sky’s the limit. She’s grown so much and has come so far, bag by bag, bean by bean.

Watch the video below to hear Bridget and Dan Miracle, Chief Operating Officer of Metropolis Coffee talk about how far she's come.

Meet some incredible people!
